Tokenisation has become one of the preferred methods of card payments in Western countries. Now, it comes to India.
The economy grew at a 7.2% rate, but RBI estimated a growth of 7.4%. msnTarGet.com

Indian Economy Is World’s Fastest Growing; Again Beats China In Annual Growth At 7.2%

Indian Economy Is World’s Fastest Growing - Debit/Credit Card Frauds Will Be Stopped Using ‘Tokens’
India has reached new levels today in the economy field, and this is something to be very proud of! Indian economy has bagged the title of ‘Fastest Growing Economy’ and this is not the first time – although it is a tad bit lower than what RBI suggested. soas.in

RBI estimated growth in the current economy of about 7.4% in the current fiscal year that ends in March (2018-19), but the economy grew at a 7.2% which is also worth appreciation. 6.75% growth was recorded in last year, 2017-18. mobask.com

Private Consumption and Indian Economy

S .C. Garg, the secretary of economic affairs praised the growth of the Indian economy, saying that it is a very advance GDP growth numbers for 2018-19. He also remarked that India remains the fastest growing major economy globally. Fun2Ind.com

The chief economist at rating agency Crisil D.K. Joshi said that improvement in private consumption and a stable election outcome will play an important role in sustaining the upswing in overall investments. He also said, “Private consumption was a sore spot with its growth slipping a new to 6.4% from 6.6% as farm incomes and rural wage growth remained weak. The real agriculture GDP growth was strong at 3.8% from 4.5% suggesting farmers are realizing less from their produce.” msnTarGet.com

Reports in Detail

As per reports, the manufacturing sector is estimated to grow by 8.3% in 2018-19, which is more as compared to last year’s 5.7% while farm sector will grow by 3.8% as compared to last year’s 3.4%. Construction field is set to grow at 8.9% compared to last year’s 5.7%. Financial, real estate and insurance segment was at 6.6% and is expected to grow up to 6.8% this year. MobAsk.com

As per D.K. Joshi, the service sectors, which contributed to a large part of India’s growth, have been giving poorer results since several quarters in the past, which is a cause of worry.

On the other hand, growth in government final expenditure is estimated to be at 9.2% compared to 10.9% of last year. “Pick-up in investment is largely government spending from outside the budgeted expenditure, likely from PSU’s and state governments. Private investment has to substitute for this investment for the run-up to be sustainable.” soas.in

Conclusively, economic growth of China is expected to be slower than usual and India will again be the fastest growing major economy globally. Fun2Ind.com

Debit/Credit Card Frauds Will Be Stopped Using ‘Tokens’; RBI Allows ‘Tokenisation’ Of Card Payments

In a major innovation related to card payments, which includes both debit and credit cards, Reserve Bank of India has allowed ‘Tokenisation’ of card payments. soas.in

How will it stop frauds? And how does this work?

Keep reading to find out more!

‘Tokenisation’ of Card Payments: The Need

Generally, consumers save their debit or credit card details with any service provider,  to make payments smooth, and easy. Often, this is a mandatory requirement as well. MobAsk.com

For instance, say Paytm, Amazon or Flipkart. Users save their cards details with these service providers for future payments, and the payment is often done with a PIN or password or sometimes just the CVV number. MsnTarGet.com

However, in case any such service provider/website/app gets hacked, then users’ card details can be compromised, and data stolen.

To avoid this scenario, RBI has now allowed ‘Tokenisation’ of card payments, which will avoid such frauds/data theft.

‘Tokenisation’ Of Card Payments: How Does This Work?

‘Tokenisation’ works on the principle of a virtual card, which is also called tokens here. Fun2Ind.com

In this system, instead of saving the actual card details: name, card numbers, expiry date etc, the user will be able to generate a unique ‘token’ or a virtual card for a specific service.

Whenever the consumer is required to make a payment, they can use the token, and an additional authentication PIN to finalize the payment. MsnTarGet.com

Now, this unique token will have three aspects:

  • Card details
  • The token requester (for example Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm) and
  • Identified device (example being your mobile phone or tablet/laptop)
Each such tokens would be unique for a service, and the same token cannot be used elsewhere, which provides better security.

Risks Reduced In Card Payments

Such tokens mask the actual debit/credit card details and help the consumer to protect them. Such unique tokens can be applied to:
  • Contactless transactions (Near Field Communication/Magnetic Secure Transmission based transactions)
  • In-app payments
  • QR code-based payments and more.
Moreover, the end user can also limit the amount of money transacted in every token, specific to that service. soas.in

However, the only drawback is that the card issuer and the service provider will be required to appoint a third party to implement this tokenisation system. Having said that, the card issuing company will have the responsibility to ensure safety and security of this whole process. Mobask.com

RBI is expected to issue more guidelines and regulations for this new concept of card payments, which has become quite popular in Western countries.

We will keep you updated, as more details come in.

How To Select TV Channels: TRAI New Recharge Rule (2019 Onwards) – After 29th December 2018 onwards, DTH new rules are implemented from the side of TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India). In this post, DTH New Rules by TRAI | TV Channels ₹130 Tariff Plans for D2H & Cable TV Explained with Channel List. Also, we will be providing the complete channel list as well in which you can see if the SD (Standard Definition) or HD (High Definition) channel rates are given.

How To Select TV Channels: TRAI New Recharge Rule (2019 Onwards)

How To Select TV Channels: TRAI New Recharge Rule (2019 Onwards)
How To Select TV Channels: TRAI New Recharge Rule (2019 Onwards)
Thus, stay tuned with us till the end. First of all, whether you are watching Sony TV, Sab TV or Zee TV, they’re not just channels. But they are big brands and companies Star India Private Limited, SONY pictures Network India private limited, Zee Entertainment Enterprise limited. msnTarGet.com

These channel companies are actually the broadcaster. They’re mainly responsible to generate the content. But, by the time content is reached to our Home Television, there must be a mediator or distributor or cable operator (all the three are one and the same thing) in between to manage these channels. So, Airtel, DTH, Tata Sky etc. are all distributors only. soas.in

Now, it takes up the channel from the broadcaster and shows the channel to us. Thereafter, the money we sent back to the distributor gets back to the broadcaster with some commission of distributor with it. Now the actual problem was that the public was not willing to watch as many channels as provided by the distributors. Thus, TRAI new rule just says – choose the channels you want to watch. Fun2Ind.com

The original problem here was that the distributor was the boss in this case. Like happened in the case of the Tata Sky. Because of some conflicts, Tata Sky completely removed off all the channels of the Sony Network. Following which, ones who paid for the same earlier were dumped in the problem.

Don’t even think that this new rule of TRAI has taken place overnight. Everything has been changed now but the procedure was seriously too long. First, on 3rd March 2017, it was published for the first time. Then after the long discussion, it was launched first time on 3rd July 2018. After that 180 days timeline was given to all the distributors and were asked to have their systems configured according to this new rule. MsnTarGet.com

Now if you count 180 days from 3rd July 2018. Then the date will be 29th December 2018. The first point of this tariff plan is that you will be getting the space of 100 channels in just 130 Indian national rupees. In other words, this is the maximum capacity of the channels you can watch in the respective space. Now after buying the space you can select the channels with your help. soas.in

There are actually two types of Channels on the television. First ones are free to air and the second one being Paid channels. Needless to say, you need not to pay for a single penny for all those channels which are Free to Air. The list of all the free channels and paid ones can be checked from the official website of TRAI easily that is – www.trai.gov.in. Full form of TRAI just to let you know is Telecom Regulatory Authority of India which is a Government agency. Fun2Ind.com

Now almost 25-26 channels space will be occupied by the DD or Doordarshan Channels (in which almost all of them are Free to Air). Remaining, you can fill the channels as per your choice. If you want to fill all the free ones, then okay and also if you’re willing to fill all the paid ones.

Here, you also need to understand the game of SD (Standard Definition) and HD (High Definition) channels. Here, if you try to fill up the HD (High Definition) channels right here. Then you will have to take care of the fact that 1 HD (High Definition) channel = 2 SD channel. Means one HD (High Definition) channel will be taking up the space of 2 SD (Standard Definition) channels in the Rs. 130 space you’ll buy. mobask.com

Apart from that, all the distributors have also got one more other option. TRAI has asked them that they can also prepare a bouquet. bouquet means, they can prepare a bunch of channels in which all their HD or SD channels can lie. In Short answer of How To Select TV Channels: TRAI New Recharge Rule (2019 Onwards) is that – you can call your DTH operators and have your channels set by them for you.

7th Pay Commission: Here is good news for nearly 1 crore employees and pensioners of the central and state government. These employees may soon get three per cent dearness allowance from January 1, 2019, Praygraj based AG Office Brotherhood and ex-Assistant Secretary-General of All India Audit and Accounts Association, Harishankar Tiwari told Zeebiz Online today. According to the calculations made on the basis of Consumer Price Index, the DA has been set to move closer to three per cent. This is the first time after the implementation of 7th pay commission on January 1, 2016, when dearness allowance may increase by 3 per cent.

7th Pay Commission: First time! Government employees' dearness allowance to touch this level

7th Pay Commission: First time! Government employees' dearness allowance to touch this level
According to experts calculating DA, dearness allowance may stay at 3% or more from 2019. If the consumer price index of December month rises to 6 per cent, then the employees may get up to 4 per cent DA.

If there is a deficit of 26 points in the consumer price index, then the DA will be 2 per cent. But the likelihood of such a decrease in the Consumer Price Index is unlikely. It is believed that employees can get DA closer to 3%.

What is DA or Dearness Allowance

Dearness Allowance is such money which is given to improve the living condition of the government employees of the country, keeping inflation in mind.

Only India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are the countries in the world where government employees are given such allowance. This money is given so that even amid rising inflation, the level of employee's living condition doesn't worsen because of lack of money. DA is given to government employees, public sector enterprises' employees and pensioners.
What 7th Pay Commission said

As per the 7th Pay Commission report, the Dearness Allowance (DA) is paid to Central Government employees "to adjust the cost of living and to protect their Basic Pay from erosion in the real value on account of inflation."

Presently, DA is based on the All India Consumer Price Index (Industrial Workers).

The 7th pay panel had decided to continue with the formula for DA calculation adopted by the VI CPC.

"The VI CPC had recommended that the National Statistical Commission may be asked to explore the possibility of a specific survey covering government employees exclusively, so as to construct a consumption basked representative of government employees and formulate a separate index. This has, however, not been done," the report said.

"Keeping in mind that the present formulation of DA has worked well over the years, and there are no demands for its alteration, the Commission recommends the continuance of the existing formula and methodology for calculating the Dearness Allowance," it added.

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has asked Railway officials to enable a system, wherein any rail passenger can view vacant seats, and then choose the one which he or she desires.

This would be based on the airlines model.

An unnamed Rail official said, “Just like airlines, Railways is planning to enable passengers to see the status of seats by making the reservation charts public.”

As per reports coming in, the vacant berths would be colored differently so that the passenger can make an informed decision.

How Will It Work?

This is a possible process:
  • Passenger logs into IRCTC website/app to book a ticket.
  • While completing the transaction, a new window will pop-up wherein the passenger can view all vacant seats in a train, based on coaches. Hence, vacant seats in coach B1, coach B2 and so on.
  • Depending on the preferences, the passenger can book a berth, and confirm it.

Note here, that lower berths would be still reserved for senior citizens and women, under this new system.

Another option can be, that once the ticket has been booked, the passenger can use the PNR number to select the best berth, by opening a dedicated portal meant for this facility. This is again, based on airlines’ current system.

Selection Shall Be Free

Unlike airlines, which charge extra for selecting the best seats, this facility to choose berth in trains shall be free as of now MsnTarGet.com.

Based on the age and sex of the passenger, the available seats would be displayed, under different colors. However in order to implement this, Railways will need to display the reservation status of the entire train, which may take up time.

Earlier, Indian Railways had announced that ticket checkers would be enabled with hand-held devices to give real-time information about vacant berths to passengers.

We will keep you updated, as more details come in.

Thus, not having a PAN card, in this case, can create a problem.

How To Apply For PAN Card? New PAN Card Application Form

Before going to the steps, just learn about the exact amount you need to pay off getting PAN Card. Just remember that the amount is totally different for Indian and Foreign Citizens. But Rs. 5 (Indian national rupee) is common in both the cases as an online transaction charge. To Apply for a new PAN Card, any Indian Citizen will have to make the online payment of Indian National Rupee 116 (+ Rs. 5 as an online payment or transaction charge). And, if a foreign citizen is looking for making a new PAN Card in India, he/ she will have to pay a total of rupees 1020 (+ Rs. 5 as an online transaction payment charge). Using below mentioned easiest possible steps, you can Apply Online for PAN Card online –

STEP 1: See, 8 August 1996 founded Indian central securities depository based in Mumbai – National Securities Depository Limited or NSDL. And, 1993 founded IT Service Managment Company – UTI Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited or UTIITSL, both are given the official and authentic contract to apply for PAN Card online. Thus, you can visit an official website of any of the two. Here, www.nsdl.co.in is the official website of National Securities Depository Limited. And, www.utiitsl.com is the official website of UTI Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited.

STEP 2: Once click on the above link on the official website, you will be redirected to a URL – https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRegisterContact.html. On this page, starting with the top, from the side of Tax Information Network of Income Tax Department, there are two options initially, Apply Online and Registered User. Here, you will have to go for Apply Online. Just the Application Type from the drop-down menu out of – New PAN – Indian Citizen (Form 49A), New PAN – Foreign Citizen (Form 49AA), Changes or Correction in Existing PAN Data/ Reprint of PAN Card (No changes in existing PAN Data). Forget the third one if you’re applying for the first time. And, select out of first and second option accordingly.

STEP 3: Now switch over to Category and select any one out of the following from the drop-down menu – Individual, Association of Persons, Body of Individuals, Company, Trust, Limited Liability Partnership, Firm, Government, Hindi Undivided Family, Artificial Juridical Person, Local Authority. Now switch over to Applicant information which holds conditions like 1. Initials are not permitted in the first and last name. 2. Applicant’s identity proof, proof of address and proof of date of birth should contain the exact name as mentioned in this field. Now, select the Title, Enter the last name/ surname, first name, middle name, date of birth/ incorporation/ formation, email ID and Mobile Number. Next enter the right Captcha Code and press Submit button.

STEP 4: Now comes the most crucial step i.e. Submission of documents, the appropriate list of which you just read above. Now, this can be done through three major methods. Either you physically deposit all the documents to NSDL office. The second option is to scan and upload the documents online on NSDL website. And, third and easiest is to just provide your Aadhar Number and remaining documents will be automatically verified by NSDL through Aadhar ID.

STEP 5: If you choose to go with Aadhar Card only, you will just have to go through OTP (One Time Password) and Direct Payment option. The procedure of going through the AO Code or Assessing Officer Code is extremely simple but seems extremely complicated because of terminology only. It is as simple as merely selecting correct choice out of four i.e. Government Category, Defence Employees, Foreign Citizens and NRI and Indian Citizens etc. Further, there are remaining personal details needs to be entered while choosing the AO Code i.e. you need to select your state and area of residence.

STEP 6: Here at this point, AO code becomes a little bit complicated, when keeping different categories in mind like companies, non-salaried people, government servants, private sector employees, etc., you will have to select your AO Code. But, the good part is, your CA or Chartered Accountant can help you out with this. List of all the AO codes will automatically appear on your screen just a few seconds after you have successfully and correctly opted out for the State and Area or Residence. Once you click on the correct AO code, it will get automatically filled up in the form.

STEP 7: Now you will just have to select the documents you have submitted as a Proof of Identity, Proof of Address or Proof of Age or Date of Birth. The next step is to make the successful online Payment. Nearly 120 rupees will have to be paid by the Indian Citizens online. After successfully making the online Payment, you will be sent an Email containing each and every detail of the procedure. You can track your PAN card as well through that mail only, thus keep the details saved with you for future references.

How To Change Address In PAN Card?

Irrespective of what the reason it is, if you’re willing to change the address in your PAN card, just follow the below mentioned steps.

STEP 1: First of all, visit the official website of NSDL or National Securities Depository Limited i.e. www.nsdl.co.in.

STEP 2: Find this written on the page – “Select the category of the applicant,” keep scrolling down until you get this.

STEP 3: Before clicking on the select button, choose your category from the drop-down menu out of (individual/partnership firm/association of persons/body of an individual, etc.). For most people, it would be individual.

STEP 4: After entering all the personal details, checking the box inside for which you make the corrections, enter the PAN number at the right place and following the remaining easy steps given there.

Complete Correction/ Editing Guide for PAN Card

In the editing or correction procedure of PAN Card, in a major, though you will have to go through four detailed steps i.e. Guidelines, Personal Details, Contact and Other Details and Document Details. Apart from that, when you tick as the applicable address for communication out of residence and office, Important instruction for paperless PAN application through e-KYC (only for Individual) are provided by the board.

1. The address used in the Aadhar Card would be used in the PAN application as residence address and no need to fill residential address.

2. PAN Card will be dispatched at the address mentioned in Aadhar Card.

3. If the length of address as per Aadhar Database exceeds the length as specified by Income Tax Department then you will not be able to avail e-KYC service. In the beginning, the first step is same as when Applying for New PAN Card. Visiting above mentioned links of NSDL website is mandatory. Thereafter, instead of selecting the New PAN Application Form number, candidates should go through “Changes or Correction in Existing PAN Data/ Reprint of PAN Card (no changes in existing PAN Data).” Next option is to fill all the required details and click on the submit button.

Aadhaar card is one of most widely accepted identity proof in India and sometimes we lose it or misplace it and the only option left is to use the re-printed version of the card after downloading it for UIDAI website.

Recently, UIDAI has launched a new service that allows users to get their lost or misplace Aadhaar card reprinted after paying a nominal amount of Rs 50. This reprinting fee includes GST and speed post charges as well. The reprinted Aadhaar card will be delivered to the speed post within five working days and will get delivered to the registered address

Here's what to do if you lose your Aadhaar card
So, if you are also looking to get your lost Aadhaar card reprinted, here's our step-by-step guide.

      First things first:

You must know either your Aadhaar card number or Virtual Identification Number(VID) to raise the reprinting request. Also, you should have your phone number linked with your Aadhaar card to receive the OTP for verification purpose.

However, there's also a way to get Aadhaar reprinted with a non-registered phone number without being able to preview the details.

      Steps to follow:

      • Open 'www.uidai.gov.in' on your PC browser
      • Head to the 'Aadhar service' section and select 'Order Aadhaar Reprint (Pilot basis) option
      • It will open a new tab on your browser, enter 12-digit Aadhaar number or 16-digit-Virtual Identification Number and security code (captcha) in the dialogue box.
      • If you already have your mobile number registered, then click 'Send OTP' button. In case you have not registered your phone number, then tick the checkbox saying ' If you do not register your mobile number' and proceed
      • Enter the OTP received on your phone
      • Check the details in the preview and if all the details are correct, click on 'Make Payment' option
      • Make the payment using any mode of payment.
      • Once done, you'll see a confirmation message on your screen and you'll also receive a message on your phone containing SRN number for future reference.

Note: In case you have not registered your phone number, hit the checkbox mentioned in Step 4 and enter the mobile number to receive OTP.

      Tracking the status

      • Head to www.resident.uidai.gov.in/check-aadhaar-reprint
      • Enter the SRN number received on your phone followed by 12-digit AAdhaar number
      • Fill in the security code and submit.

      Offline Procedure:

You can also retrieve your Aadhaar card offline. To do so, just visit any nearby Aadhaar centre. You will be asked to enroll your fingerprint on the biometric device and you will get your Aadhaar card.

In case you are looking to get the hard copy of your original card, simply give a call at the toll-free number 1800-300-1947 or write an email to help@uidai.gov.in regarding your concerns. Alternatively, you can also download the mAadhaar app on your smartphone to download a digital copy of your Aadhaar card.
