Honor 9N goes official with 5.84-inch notched display dual camera

Honor just announced the Honor 9i for the Indian market as Honor 9N and it's a Flipkart exclusive. As expected, the Honor 9N has identical hardware to the 9i - the only thing that's changed is an additional storage option. It's still built around a 5.84-inch LCD of FHD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) resolution with a narrow notch on the top. A HiSilicon Kirin 659 chip does the number crunching with a little help of either 3GB or 4GB of RAM.
The first of those versions comes with 32GB of storage, while the second one is available in 64GB and 126GB flavors. Either way you get a microSD card slot for further expansion, but it will cost you your second SIM slot.
On the back, you find the dual camera setup that consists of 13MP primary sensor accompanied by a 2MP one for depth sensing along with the fingerprint reader. The front-facing camera placed on the notch is 16MP setting the phone as a selfie-centric device.
The battery is rated at 3,000 mAh and runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Huawei's EMUI 8.0 overlay.
Honor 9N comes in Lavender Purple, Robin Egg Blue, Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black and as said before, it's Flipkart's exclusive. The 3GB/32GB variant will set you back INR 11,999 ($174), the 4GB/64GB model costs INR 13,999 ($203) and the 4GB/128GB alteration is INR 17,999 ($261). The actual shipments start on July 31.
Samsung is preparing a gaming smartphone too It seems that mobile gaming is becoming a thing now and manufacturers are fast to cash in on the hype. First, there was the Razer Phone, then the Xiaomi Black Shark and finally, Asus came along with arguably the best Android gaming device so far - the ROG Phone.
And now Samsung is tipped to be preparing a gaming smartphone of its own as well. The information isn't accompanied with any solid evidence, but it's coming from a fairly reputable source that has a good track record in the past.
No information is given about the device, so we don't know what specs to expect but if we can guess, Snapdragon 845 chipset should be in charge and some kind of a high refresh rate display for that buttery-smooth gameplay.
Also, the tipster adds that the foldable Samsung smartphone won't be named Galaxy X as thought previously. That might hint that the Galaxy X moniker is actually going to be used for the gaming smartphone, although it wasn't explicitly confirmed.
